Lost

Are you lost?

yes

Why , where are you?

here

... and where is here?

here is here

OK, but where are you?

I am where you dare not go

Which is where?

where I am

  1. Your post reminds me of a book I read years ago: "Wherever You Go, There You Are" by Jon Kabat-zinn. I recall enjoying the book. Must look for it now. :-) Blessings!

  4. and so it goes. and so it is difficult to find one another. you need a marker. hold fast to a buoy and send up a flare.

it is a good good but frightening poem.

  5. And so the spiral is a church ceiling. Then this is hope? It is beautiful.

  6. I love it. I was just talking to my husband last night and he was saying that I (and writers in general) have a gift to get inside the mind, situation, life, of another. I said, "Perhaps it is only that we are willing...to go there."

    Love you

in a nutshell, the rhythm of this poem is so good. the ending line is so surprisingly obvious.

  8. Marion I have never heard of "Wherever You Go, There You Are" by Jon Kabat-Zinn ... I am a terrible philistine. Will look it out at the library next weekend. I really MUST expand my horizons!

Joker ((hug)) I know just what you mean ... that horrible dislocation that happens when we suddenly awaken from the clutches of a nightmare. It is a bit like this.

Erin, It's supposed to be frightening! It is about fear ... about feeling bleak. Pretty much everything I write comes back eventually to hope. My abiding faith remains solely in hope.

Annie, don't we just? Always I'm looking and seeing ... putting myself there and trying to feel what it's like.

KJ ... I didn't render your comment invisible. Not sure what happened there then!
